TransNational Bankcard announced today that Vice President of Credit and Risk Troy Lober has been re-elected to the Merchant Acquirers’ Committee (MAC) Board of Directors.  Lober will serve his second consecutive year as an Advisor for the MAC.

Lober has selflessly dedicated himself to serving the MAC by offering valuable time and insight on the topics of credit risk and fraud, as well as striving to expand the MAC for years to come.  When asked what the re-election to the Board of Directors meant to Lober, he revealed, “I feel fortunate to be in the position to give back, assist, and share experiences with MAC members.”

The MAC was established in 2007 and has continuously expanded and improved throughout its existence.  Lober revealed that the MAC will strive to become an international organization in the near future.

The MAC is a nationwide organization of Bankcard professionals that focuses on the risk management aspect of credit card processing while adhering to a strict Code of Ethics.  According to MAC’s official website, “The organization is dedicated to providing universal risk management solutions through ongoing communication and cooperation among acquirers and card associations.”   The MAC highly encourages members to share risk management experiences in order to expose and prevent fraudulent trends in the credit card processing industry.  In doing so, the MAC allows its members to build better systems for risk reduction and management in their own personal careers and businesses.

TransNational President Jae Haas highly regarded Lober’s re-election to the Board of Directors, stating, “We’re honored to have such a valuable asset on our team.  Troy’s ability to link his success with the MAC to his position at TransNational is an indispensable component to our success here at TransNational.”
